How I can help you
Here is an illustration of how a full property search might work, covering from our initial meeting to discuss your requirements, through from finding a property, bidding, offer acceptance, exchanging contracts, and on to completion of the purchase.
You may want help getting your search started, just need some guidance or someone to negotiate to buy a property you have already identified. 1. Before starting
We’ll meet and we will talk through everything you are looking to achieve including in terms of budget, timescale, area of search, commute etc... Ill also quote My fees: These are usually (1) a small appointment fee plus (2) a location fee which is paid after exchange of contracts.
2. Once instructed
I’ll start working, methodically and consistently building knowledge of your property requirements and raising your search profile amongst my key agency contacts. These cooperative sources will usually offer me unique and interesting off market opportunities as we progress.
3. Viewing and feedback
I will distil and shortlist the best of these increasingly relevant and wonderful opportunities We will view them together and I will be constantly fine tuning the search according to the feedback you give me to ensure we stay focussed and on-track.
4. Target property identified
I will go through my background research and opinion of the property’s value with you. We can then agree on the most appropriate way of approaching the owner with a bid.
5. Bid strategy
I can give you a much greater chance of success. My understanding of the psychology and methods used by Estate agents in a negotiation should give you a key advantage over any competitive bids.
6. Once a sale is agreed
I will continue to focus on assisting the transaction through to completion. I can recommend essential services, such as surveyors, builders, interior designers and architects at the appropriate time

I have personally dealt with and experienced, from both the seller and buyer side, many hundreds of residential property transactions. I have many years of experience in busy and successful UK estate agency offices. The knowledge, experience and negotiating skills that I have acquired over this time have given me a useful industry authority and respect as a residential property finder, property expert and consultant.
I have contributed many articles for property web portals and news websites as an authentic voice and authority on all matters concerning buying and selling houses. My opinions have been published in various national magazines as well as the Independent, Observer, Daily Express, The Sunday Times and other quality publications.
I am also frequently invited to appear on or guested on numerous radio shows featuring property related topics.
I was the original property expert advising Ideal World, the production company, on the hit TV property show ‘Location, Location Location’. I had the pleasure of working on the show with Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp at the initial production stages, including the pilot show which was filmed in Lewes, Sussex.
I live just outside London and am married to Mandy, a Bafta and Emmy nominated film producer, and we have a son, Benjamin, now aged 15 and Dylan a crazy boxer! In my spare time I sometimes fly light aircraft and I have become involved with some local projects including both Dementia awareness and national ADHD charities.
